Our Work
We campaign for the personal, social and economic benefits from lifelong learning and work. Our research shows significant inequalities in who takes part in learning and work, which we seek to tackle by empowering individuals from under-represented groups to take control of their lives and realise their potential.
Life and Society
Life Skills - English, maths, ESOL, financial, digital and other related skills - underpin lifelong learning, enable adults to participate and contribute fully in society, and support economic growth.
Work and Careers
Our work is supporting the development of better integrated support across learning and skills, and other services like health and housing, to help more people into sustained employment.
Improving the System
Our learning and skills system system isn't flexible enough to respond to local needs. We are working to create more learning opportunities and to develop different ways for adults to participate.
Promoting learning and skills
Our business is to look at what works and what doesn’t in learning, skills and employment, and we want to work with anyone who is as passionate about addressing disadvantage as we are.
