Think and Do Tank: LEAFEA workshop

  08/03/2019 10:00   Event ID :14366

Using Research in Adult Community Learning

8 March 2019, 10:00 – 13:30.

Guildhall, City of London

Basinghall Suite, access via Guildhall Art Gallery (click here to view venue map)

The workshop is an exciting opportunity for LEAFEA members to work together to develop our research skills and build further our research confidence as leaders and within our organisations – so that we can bring further positive impact to our communities and be even better at influencing public policy.

This will also be a chance for us to take part in the Adult Education 100 Campaign – celebrating one hundred years since the publication of the 1919 government report into adult education, a report which launched adult education provision in local authorities across the country.

  • Understanding the use and value of adopting a research approach for leaders of adult learning providers
  • Developing research confidence and identifying key research skills
  • Applying a research approach to problems faced by the sector in 2019
  • Writing up this workshop to contribute to the 1919 Centenary Commission campaign and debate
